Andre Breton was an incredibly influencial
character of the 1900's. Being the founder of the
Surrealist movement many artists & political
groups embraced his ideas of Surrealism,
expressing the subconcious in almost dreamlike &
often confusing manner.

Breton strongly believed in the freedom of
expression whether it be through art or
literature, promoting automatic drawing & writing,
expressing spontaneous & uncensored thoughts.

Breton did not believe himself to be a gifted
artist, he was a French poet, writer & theorist,
who's ideas of liberation & freedom impacted
worldwide,inspiring artists & people alike.
